My nephew is in some legal trouble. He is bipolar and stolen an automobile when he was without medication. He is better now and on medication, but is facing some serious jail time. I honestly think that if you were to go to jail, his improvements would stop and he would have a breakdown. I pray every day for him. Today, I pray that he continues on a good path, that he sees a psychiatrist, and that his legal troubles resolved in a positive way for him. He acknowledges what he did was wrong.
