My granddaughter, (Victoria) Tori is a beautiful 7 year old girl who has a hearing loss and wears a hearing aid. She also has some small speech issues due to her hearing loss. Tori is exceptionally intelligent, bright and charming, but she is ostracized at school in her 2nd grade class by the girls because she has a hearing aid.

None of the girls in her class will be friendly to her, they exclude her and don't talk to her or interact with her at all. A few of the boys in the class have been kinder to her and play with her at recess. She is invited to birthday parties, but none of the girls will sit by her or play with her and she is by herself, trying to seem like she is having a good time. She is always "on the outside looking in."

Tori is old enough to understand she is being excluded by the girls and often asks her mom why? We live in an affluent area. There is a lot of ignorance by parents regarding bullying, correct behavior, ignorance to other kids, etc. After several meetings with the school , they do nothing to help.

Can you please keep this wonderful child in your prayers and that she will find acceptance and the meanness will stop.
